ELL - 20th and 21st Century Women - CANCELLED

In this class we will discuss the lives of women who challenged societal barriers in their pursuit of careers in Animal Behavior, Politics and Government, Philanthropy, Science and Medicine, Journalism, Literature, and the Theater.  Together, we will explore the sources of their strength, skills, and determination to succeed. This class is intended for high intermediate to advanced English learners.

Our first meeting will take place in person, on the third floor of the library, on October 7, 2022. The class will then continue on Zoom on Fridays until November 18.

Regular attendance is required; this is not a drop-in class. If you plan to be absent from more than three classes, please arrange to talk to the instructor before September 23.

For more information, contact Andrew Shapira, Program Coordinator, at 617-796-1364 or NewtonELL@minlib.net.
