Beltway Bonanza -- How 128 Sparked a High Tech Boom (Virtual)

Join Boston-based freelance writer, Alan R. Earls, for a talk on how Massachusetts became the hottest place on the planet for technology companies in the four decades following the end of World War II. The story involves the first venture capital fund, politics and government funding, plenty of inventors and entrepreneurs, and includes appearances by schools like Harvard and MIT.

Alan R. Earls writes for several TechTarget sites, including SearchBusinessAnalytics.com and SearchDataManagement.com. He has also done freelance work for publications ranging from CIO, Datamation and Computerworld to The Boston Globe and The Chicago Tribune, among others. He is the author of Route 128 and the Birth of the Age of High Tech.
