Tagore's Songs and Poems of Life and Renewal

Join Maitreyee Chakraborty and friends for a special concert that will focus on the works of the Bengali poet, Rabindranath Tagore. He was a writer, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer and painter who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913. Maitreyee is trained in the classical Indian vocal tradtion.

 

In uncertain times, Rabindranath Tagore's words and music offer solace and perspective.

 

The performers will be: 

Raka Datta - poetry presentation

Swati Biswas - dance

Mona Roy - discussion, harmonium

Maitreyee Chakraborty - vocals
