Amaranti Ensemble Presents Gibraltar: A Clash Between Nations
Join us for a performance of late 18th and early 19th century Spanish music; a relatively unexplored niche in the world of early music. Soprano Maria Alejandra Montero will perform a set of seguidillas for voice and harpsichord by composer José Lidon. The musicians will also explore romantic-era repertoire for the guitar and flute, arranged for harpsichord and traverso.
The concert is being presented in memory of Barbara Hyatt whose family has made a significant contribution to the library for the upgrade of the sound system in Druker Auditorium. Barbara’s love of the library inspired this gift and we are so grateful for the family’s support.
