Join Allison K. Lange, assistant professor of history at the Wentworth Institute of Technology, for a talk that will analyze gender, images and political power from the founding of the U.S. through the passage of the 19^th amendment granting women the right to vote in 1920. Based on her forthcoming book, Picturing Political Power: Images in the Women’s Suffrage Movement (May 2020 University of Chicago Press), Ms. Lange will examine the ways that suffragists used images throughout their campaign.
