Join the Boston Meshk Ensemble for an afternoon of classical Turkish music, featuring vocal and instrumental works from the 17th to 20th centuries. The program highlights the expressive makam tradition through choral pieces, solo songs, instrumental compositions, and traditional improvisations.
The Boston Meshk Ensemble is a dedicated group of musicians committed to sharing the depth and beauty of Turkish classical music with the Boston community. Founded in 2022, the ensemble brings together performers from diverse backgrounds who rehearse weekly and present programs that celebrate centuries of musical heritage.
