Around the World: A Performance Lecture with Tamara Jokic
Event box
Part lecture, part performance, Around the World with Tamara Jokic features a multimedia presentation on world music, featuring photos, videos, conversation, and live singing in languages from across the globe. Participants are encouraged to participate, whether sharing stories, asking questions, or joining in song. It's multicultural education, entertainment, and uniquely enriching.
We are delighted to welcome Tamara Jokic back to the Library. If you attended her program last spring, we invite you to explore new musical traditions at this performance lecture. If you haven't had a chance to hear Tamara's music before, we invite you to join us on this musical trip around the world.
Serbian-born Tamara Jokic is a Berklee School of Music professor, Sony recording artist, and winner of Berklee's Outstanding Vocalist Award. She has performed across the world, from European Operas to Carnegie Hall.
This concert is in partnership with the Department of Older Adult Services. This program is generously sponsored by the Jayne Colino Fund at the Senior Citizens Fund of Newton.
