Daughters of Eve: A Concert of Music Written by Women Who Dare

This program features music by Amy Beach, Louise Farrenc, and a world premiere by Francine Trester. All works are scored for flute, viola, and piano. Original poetry by the musical performers is incorporated as well. Both words and music collectively speak to the voices of women past and present. This concert is sure to be an enlightening and enlivening afternoon of music!

Pianist Lois Shapiro and violin/violist Francine Trester regularly perform together in the Eleuthera Piano Trio. Shapiro is Senior Performance Faculty in Piano at Wellesley College, and Trester is a Professor of Composition at Berklee College of Music. For "Daughters of Eve," they will be joined by flutist Chloe Carrano. Chloe Carrano is a local high school student, studying with Barbara Nakazawa and at New England Conservatory.
