Commedia dell'Arte and Renaissance Music Demonstration
Discover Commedia dell'Arte and its music, the renowned Italian Renaissance theater which is the base of modern comedy!
Actress Chiara Durazzini and musician Dan Meyers of the Pazzi Lazzi Troupe present Masks in Motion, a presentation and demonstration of Commedia dell'Arte and Renaissance music. Chiara and Dan will perform a short skit featuring Arlecchino, one of the most famous Commedia stock characters. They will then present a lecture about the history and characteristics of Commedia dell’Arte and its legacy, and a practical demonstration of its characters and music. A Q&A will follow the presentation.
