Celebrating Disability Pride Month
Event box
July is Disability Pride Month, and July 2024 marks the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. To celebrate, Understanding Our Differences, the Newton Commission on Disability, and the Newton Free Library are pleased to host a panel of local speakers with disabilities who will explore the question, "What does disability pride mean to you?" A Q&A and audience discussion will follow the panel.
This program will take place in person at the Newton Free Library, in Druker Auditorium, and online via Zoom webinar. No registration necessary to attend in person. To attend via Zoom, please register here.
Doors to Druker Auditorium will open at 6:30pm. The Zoom webinar will begin at 7pm.
This event will include ASL interpretation.
