Opening Reception for Sarah Schneiderman

Opening reception for Sarah Schneiderman. Refreshments will be served.

Sarah Schneiderman has entitled her exhibit “First, Not Last: Portraits Celebrating Individuals Who Broke Political Barriers in 2020.” In describing the exhibit, Sarah provides the following in her own words: "In the wake of the 2020 election, diverse political leaders emerged, reshaping governance at all levels. Sarah Schneiderman's work sheds light on the beauty found in unexpected places, weaving narratives of resilience and determination. It also comments on the historical neglect of marginalized communities, celebrating the leaders who represent them. Through her art, she aims to highlight our progress and emphasize the urgent need for a more inclusive political landscape that reflects the diversity of the American experience. This shift is a cause for optimism and a necessary step towards a future where diversity and inclusion are central in decision-making, motivating us to actively participate in this change."
